In 2025, multiple favorable policies for motorcycles will be officially implemented, among which light motorcycles (≤ 50ml) will undergo significant adjustments: the scrap life will be extended from 9 years to 10 years, and models with National IV and above emission standards can enjoy a more relaxed service life. At the same time, the "one license for all" policy implemented by the Ministry of Public Security allows car owners to apply for registration and transfer services in different locations without the need for a residence permit. Electronic driving permits are widely used nationwide, greatly simplifying the process of handling affairs.
This policy also optimized the annual inspection rules. Light motorcycles only need to be tested online in the 6th and 10th years within 10 years, and are exempt from online testing for the middle 4 years but need to apply for an electronic inspection mark. With the gradual lifting of restrictions in 21 cities across the country, the advantages of light motorcycles as short distance commuting tools are further highlighted. Their average annual travel cost is only 1/5 of that of cars, making them an economic choice to alleviate the "last ten kilometers" problem.
